The Fischer Teknik rod holders are a new type of rod holders made from 3D printed PETG and TPU. Along with anodized aluminium and stainless steel this makes the rod holders strong and rigid, as they need to be, for holding your rods safe while boating in different conditions.
The rod holders have two rotation movements and a sliding movement of the aluminium rail: One rotation is in the star foot and one is in the rail holder. They make it possible to rotate the rod holders both horizontally and vertically.
The rotation joints are also safety features, as they will rotate before you break your rod holders in case of a collision with a boat bridge for instance. You can compare it with the brake of your fishing reel, protecting your line from breaking.
Compared to nylon, our 3D printed PETG have some advantages:
1. You can repair the broken piece with CA glue, and the joint will be as strong as new.
2. It is possible to get cheap spare parts.
3. We can easily make some design changes or improvements, if we find the need for it.
